Islamabad   –   Chairman Higher Education Commission (HEC) Dr. Niaz Ahmad Akhtar (S.I.) visited the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Islamabad and held discussions with Deputy Head of Mission Mr. Shi Yuangiang, Cultural Counsellor Mr. Chen Peng, and senior embassy officials.

The meeting focused on expanding Pakistan-China cooperation in higher education through academic and research collaboration, institutional partnerships, faculty and student exchanges, innovation, and scholar mobility.

Dr. Niaz reaffirmed HEC’s commitment to strengthening strategic academic ties with China and advancing joint initiatives in research, innovation, academic excellence, and human capital development.

He also appreciated the Chinese Embassy’s continued support for higher education cooperation, expressing confidence that greater academic engagement would further strengthen the longstanding Pakistan-China friendship and all-weather strategic cooperative partnership.
