RAWALPINDI – The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) conducted four operations in different parts of the country and arrested two suspects, recovering 187 kg of hashish and opium worth more than Rs 20.5 million, an ANF spokesman said on Saturday.
During an operation near Killi Sagar Road in Loralai, ANF recovered 28.8 kg of hashish from a truck and arrested one suspect. In Rawalpindi, 10.8 kg of hashish were seized from a rickshaw near a hospital on GT Road, resulting in the arrest of one accused.
In Dalbandin, Chagai district, ANF seized 145 kg of opium from a vehicle. In Peshawar, 2.4 kg of hashish concealed inside a cooking stove were recovered from a parcel at a courier office in Haji Camp.
Cases have been registered under the Control of Narcotic Substances Act, 1997, and further investigations are underway.
