LAHORE – Pakistan and Kazakhstan have strengthened their sporting partnership with the launch of the International Qazaq Kuresi Coaching and Athlete Development Programme at the Pakistan Sports Complex in Islamabad, marking a significant step towards promoting the traditional martial art in Pakistan. The seven-day programme, organised by Pakistan Qazaq Kuresi Federation (PQKF) in collaboration with Qazaq Kuresi Association of Kazakhstan, was inaugurated by Kazakhstan’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Yerzhan Kistafin, in the presence of senior military officials, federation representatives, international coaches and athletes. Speaking at the ceremony, Ambassador Kistafin highlighted Kazakhstan’s commitment to expanding sports cooperation with Pakistan, describing sports diplomacy as a key pillar of bilateral relations. He expressed confidence that such initiatives would help Pakistani athletes achieve success on the international stage.
